I had a good day today.  Wore a pretty new dress I bought at Old Navy….in a regular size!  Wore some kick a$$ nude pumps with it.  Kids loved their baskets, searched for eggs, and ate candy.  We went to church and then to my mom’s.  She made a bunch of awesome food, but made sure there was enough for me.  I had lots of salad, fruit, and veggies.  Then went to my mother-in-laws and she did the same.  Made me lots of salad and even some asparagus.  I did have a few bites here and there, but nothing too bad.  I even made it to the gym!  There was no one there, haha….basically like five people and me.  But I was able to try some new machines I am usually not willing to try when it is packed and had an overall good workout.

I woke up this morning down 77.4 pounds, and I really want to hit that 80 pound mark, so I am being extra good so hopefully I will hit that soon….in a week or so!

I hope everyone who takes the time to read my blog had a wonderful holiday, spring break, whatever you choose to celebrate.  This is a wonderful time of year, and I am enjoying it greatly!

Bike Trip Tomorrow! March 16, 2012

Although I do enjoy running (when I am done), I have found that I enjoy biking even more.  I really enjoy the bike at the gym, and spinning classes, and my husband bought me a new bike for my birthday.  So with that being said, and with the 6 miles my daughter and I did last week, I am planning another bike trip tomorrow.

My son and I are going to be doing 14 miles from Buena Vista to West Newton with a stop in between for lunch along the trail.  I am really excited about this trip, not only is it something I could not have done 7 months ago, it is something fun to do with my son who is almost 14 and getting even harder and harder to entertain.  So, with the thought of doing more miles than his sister (they are so competitive) and the promise of a good lunch, he agreed.

I am very lucky to have the bike trail near my house.  If I park at the closest entrance to where I am, the total trip will be 28 miles.  I am not so sure that is a good idea for a first trip, so I am going to go a little further up the trail and cut the trip in half, this time.

I have already checked out the website for planning lunch (yes, they have wraps and salads….and sweet potato waffle fries I might have to try), and will check tire air pressure and all of that in the morning.  It is supposed to be a beautiful day and I cannot wait to spend it with my handsome and wonderful son.

Pics to come!!
